Creep behavior and modeling of high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
Creep behavior of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) was investigated. HDPE has many engineering applications in different industries such as piping systems, cable and wiring, automotive parts, storage containers, and biomedical implants.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Machine-learning analysis on creep rupture data
I will share the python code we used to analyze creep rupture time by machine learning.Creep rupture data can be obtained from the published NIMS creep data sheet (https://smds.nims.go.jp/creep/)

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Procedure of SPC data treatment for “uniaxial test correlation”
In order to determine creep properties from small punch creep (SPC) tests, several theoretical models and analytic methods are applied, such as the Chakrabarty’s membrane stretch model and reverse finite element method.

How phagocytic cells kill bacteria: Lessons from a professional killer
How phagocytic cells ingest and kill bacteria has been studied for more than a century, but many questions remain unanswered. The study of the amoeba Dictyostelium discoideum brings new answers, and new questions. Professional phagocytic cells such as neutrophils and macrophages, as well as free‐living soil amoebae like Dictyostelium discoideum, employ

Study on the creep behavior of forged Inconel 718 alloy tailored by grain configuration and δ phase
Nickel-based superalloys have been widely applied in the manufacturing of aero-engine hot-end components serving under extreme conditions. The development of advanced aero-engine technology puts forward demands for deeper understanding the underlying ...
