The behaviour of reinforced concrete beams under cyclic temperature profiles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
On a hot summer day, high levels of solar radiation are incident on concrete bridge decks, causing non-linear variations in temperature through the depths of the structures. The changes in temperature lead to axial expansion and curvature of decks.

StudyonCreepPropertiesandConstitutiveModelofThenardite

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2015
:To study creep properties of thenardite, triaxial compression creep tests to thenardite specimens were carried out on the RLW-2000 rock rheology testing machine. The test results indicated that the creep strain and steady creep rate of thenardite ...

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Determination of creep compliance of asphalt mixtures at intermediate and high temperature using creep-recovery test

open access: yes, 2021
International audienceThe linear viscoelastic (LVE) characterisation of asphalt mixtures in time domain is generally performed at temperature lower than 30°C to prevent the effect of permanent deformation.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Viscoelastic plastic creep constitutive model based on energy conservation law and strain energy theory

open access: yesScientific Reports
On the basis of the law of conservation of energy, the three stages of rock creep are analyzed. The reasons for the difficulty in studying the accelerated creep stage of rocks using the traditional creep model are expounded.

Creep Testing Methodologies and Results Interpretation

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a literature review on the main testing methodologies used to investigate the long-term behaviour of cracked FRC elements. Various tests methods such as pull-out tests, uniaxial tension tests, beam bending tests, and plate bending tests are illustrated and discussed.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
