The use of critical pathway is becoming increasingly important in acute stroke therapy. Rehabilitation in the recovery stage could be done in the specialized rehabilitation hospitals within Kumamoto according to inter-hospital cooperation. Our acute stroke team can concentrate on the treatment of stroke in the acute stage (within 2-3 week from the ...

Editorial: Different pathways into critical whiteness studies [PDF]
This special issue explores the complexities of critical whiteness studies methodologies. We decided upon critical whiteness studies (CWS) as our nodal point for this special issue since we believe whiteness often stays unchallenged as un-articulated and

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Emerging Role of Ten-Eleven Translocation 1 in Epigenetic Responses to Environmental Exposures. [PDF]
Mounting evidence from epidemiological studies and animal models has linked exposures to environmental factors to changes in epigenetic markers, especially in DNA methylation.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The influencing pathway of agrivoltaics on soybean protein concentration
Agrivoltaics has the potential to enable simultaneous energy and food production. However, its impact on crop quality and the underlying mechanisms remain insufficiently understood, which poses a significant challenge to the development of agrivoltaic ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
