Actor of a crossed module of dialgebras via tetramultipliers [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the representability of actions in the category of crossed modules of dialgebras via tetramultipliers. We deduce a pair of dialgebras in order to construct an object which, under certain circumstances, is the actor (also known as the split ...

Artificial molecular machines and motors—Design and control of nanoscale motion

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Molecules are constantly moving because of thermal fluctuations, but random motion alone cannot be exploited to perform directional tasks. Artificial molecular machines use chemical, electrical, or light energy to bias this motion. Molecular shuttles, rotary motors, and supramolecular pumps illustrate how nanoscale movement can be controlled and ...

On Commutativity Degree of Crossed Modules

open access: yesKragujevac Journal of Mathematics
In this paper, we define and study the notion of commutativity degree of finite crossed modules. We shall state some results concerning commutativity degree of crossed modules and obtain some upper and lower bounds for commutativity degree of finite crossed modules.

Lie groupoids and crossed module-valued gerbes over stacks

open access: yes, 2013
We provide a precise and general description of gerbes valued in an arbitrary crossed module and over an arbitrary differential stack. We achieve this using only Lie groupoids based on ordinary differential geometry.

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

On the topological generalized crossed modules

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, we define the topological versions of the concepts of crossed module over generalized groups, which is called generalized crossed module, and generalized group-groupoid.

Crossed Modules and Non-Abelian Extensions of Differential Leibniz Conformal Algebras

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we introduce two-term differential Leib∞-conformal algebras and give characterizations of some particular classes of such two-term differential Leib∞-conformal algebras.

Feasibility of a Self-Paced Educational Intervention Protocol on Standardized Assessment of Public Building Accessibility

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Therapy Education, 2023
Limited research informs the implementation of web-based and mobile learning (mLearning) protocols for the assessment of public building accessibility in occupational therapy graduate students.

(Co)homology of crossed modules with coefficients in a $\pi_1$-module [PDF]

open access: yesHomology, Homotopy and Applications, 2003
We define a cotriple (co)homology of crossed modules with coefficients in a $π_1$-module. We prove its general properties, including the connection with the existing cotriple theories on crossed modules. We establish the relationship with the (co)homology of the classifying space of a crossed module and with the cohomology of groups with operators.

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?
