Intestinal absorption by Sarotherodon galilaeus (syn Tilapia galilaea ) of Lake Kainji, Nigeria [PDF]
Carbohydrates, protein, lipid and crude fibre were found to reduce in amount from the anterior to posterior regions along the gut of Sarotherodon galilaeus collected from Lake Kainji. Different regions of the gut exhibited different absorptive powers and

Evaluation of Analytical Methods for the Determination of Moisture, Crude Protein, Crude Fat, and Crude Fiber in Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles [PDF]
Abstract A number of analytical methods for constituents commonly measured in distillers dried grains (DDG) are practiced in laboratories serving the agricultural sector. A large interlaboratory variability among results has been observed in the industry.

An original method is presented for producing artificial spider silk fibers with magnetic and magnetomechanical responsiveness, which consists in coating them with a nanometer‐thick layer of FeCo alloy by sputtering deposition. The challenge of combining organic materials and inorganic magnetic nanostructures is addressed, thus taking a step forward ...

Effects of feeding organic and inorganic acid blends on growth performance and nutrient digestibility in young broiler chickens [PDF]
One hundred and ninety-six Ross chicks with an initial body weight of 40.30±0.22g were used to study the effects of different crude protein levels supplemented with dietry organic and inorganic acids on growth performance and nutrient digestibility.

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).
