Apoptotic Cell Death and Function of Cryopreserved Porcine Hepatocytes in a Bioartificial Liver
We have previously shown that cryopreservation leads to increased apoptotic death of porcine hepatocytes intended for use in a bioartificial liver (BAL).

Enhancer Reprogramming Reveals the Tumorigenic Role of PTPRZ1 in Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Lung squamous cell cancer (LUSC) is deadly due to lack of good treatments. Here, multiomics techniques are applied to LUSC tumors and find thousands of cancer‐specific enhancers controlling key genes. Interestingly, the gene PTPRZ1 is identified as a critical oncogene driven by the LUSC‐acquired enhancers. PTPRZ1 is activated by MDK, fueling cancer via

Cryopreservation of plant germplasm in Argentina [PDF]
This review describes the current status of development of methods for cryopreservation (at -196ºC) of plants germplasm in Argentina. Arachis pintoi, a forage legume, has been maintained as seeds using vitrification method. Additionally, apical meristems,

This study reveals that ARID3A in macrophages can transcriptionally regulate the THBS1‐CD47 axis after heart transplantation (HT), thereby inducing activated neutrophils to release NETs through the p38 MAPK signaling pathway. The itaconate derivative 4‐OI can inhibit ARID3A in macrophages and promote the accumulation of antioxidant factors, thereby ...

Expanding enzalutamide (ENZ) use in hormone‐sensitive prostate cancer (HSPC) faces resistance. Single‐cell profiling identifies therapy‐resistant STEAP4+ myofibroblastic cancer‐associated fibroblast (SETAP4+ myoCAF). These myoCAFs drive resistance via TFE3‐mediated autophagy and PCYT1A‐led phosphatidylcholine overproduction, creating a phospholipid ...

Fertility Cryopreservation [PDF]
Protecting the reproductive potential of young patients undergoing cancer therapy is increasingly important. With modern treatment protocols, 80% of patients can be expected to survive. It has been estimated that up to one in 250 young adults will be a survivor of childhood cancer in the future; infertility, however, may be a consequence.

CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

MODELING OF THE KINETICS OF CRYOGENIC FREEZING OF LIMA BEAN SEEDS AS A FUNCTION OF INITIAL WATER CONTENT [PDF]
Cryopreservation is a technique used to preserve genetic material at ultra-low temperatures in cryogenic germplasm banks. In order to enable the cryopreservation of a seed, it is necessary to study its appropriate freezing temperature and its water ...

Cryogenic self‐assembly of lyotropic liquid crystals is achieved using alkyl alkanolamide amphiphiles in a 1,2‐propanediol/water cosolvent system. The hydrocarbon chain length significantly affects the molecular arrangement in bilayers and their long‐range orientational ordering.
