Fat mass and obesity‐associated protein downregulation enhances N6‐methyladenosine methylation and drives ovarian cancer progression

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 19, Issue 4, December 2025.
FTO downregulation elevates global m6A methylation, enhancing ovarian cancer malignancy. Bioinformatics and experimental analyses revealed that the fat mass and obesity‐associated protein (FTO) was significantly downregulated in ovarian cancer tissues and cell lines.

Tea Polyphenols Enhance Embryonic Development and Mitigate DMSO‐Induced Toxicity in Drosophila

open access: yeseFood, Volume 6, Issue 6, December 2025.
This study found that tea polyphenols, especially from oolong and black tea, promote embryonic development and reduce oxidative stress in fruit flies. While DMSO is toxic at higher doses, tea polyphenols, particularly catechin and EGCG, mitigate its harmful effects, enhancing vitality, development, and stress resistance of fruit flies.

A Comparative Analysis of Nutritional Composition in Acer truncatum Leaves and Seeds Over the Growing Stages

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study reveals that the accumulation of bioactive compounds in Acer truncatum leaves and seeds is highly dependent on growth stage. Multivariate analysis determined May as the optimal harvest time for leaves, and September 30 for seeds, when key phytochemicals and fatty acids were at their peaks.

Unraveling the Role of Ensheathing Cells and Perineural Fibroblasts in Olfactory Neurogenesis

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 12, Page 2407-2426, December 2025.
Main Points DEOs are similar to satellite glial cells. DECs react to neuronal injury by promoting lipid metabolism, but do not proliferate. ECs reduce gap junctions upon neuronal injury. Perineural fibroblasts also contribute to the injury response. ABSTRACT During development and following injury‐induced neurogenesis, olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs)
