A Multiscale Approach for the Characterization and Crystallization of Eflucimibe Polymorphs: from Molecules to Particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present in this paper a generic multiscale methodology for the characterization and crystallization of eflucimibe polymorphs. The various characterization techniques used have shown that eflucimibe polymorphism is due to a conformational change of the

Opportunities of cooling crystallization for white sugar production [PDF]

open access: yesEgyptian Sugar Journal, 2019
Sugar cooling crystallization process was used for low sugar grade crystallization that carried out under certain conditions of higher supersaturation levels for further sugar crystallization after evaporating crystallization by decreasing sucrose ...

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Metabolic and Microvascular Risk Factors Associated With Brain Health in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examined relationships between metabolic factors, microvascular complications, and brain health in adults with type 1 diabetes. Fifty‐one adults were assessed for metabolic risk factors, microvascular complications, and cognitive function, with a subset completing brain MRI.

Fines Formation (and Prevention) in Seeded Precipitation Processes

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2014
An overview of three studies on seeded precipitation in a fluidised bed reactor (FBR) is presented. The objective of using the FBR is to remove dissolved metals as precipitated metal salts onto a seed surface.

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Crystallization Kinetics of Tacrolimus Monohydrate in an Ethanol–Water System [PDF]

open access: yes
Nucleation and growth during the crystallization process are crucial steps that determine the crystal structure, size, morphology, and purity. A thorough understanding of these mechanisms is essential for producing crystalline products with consistent ...
