A new insight into aggregation of oncolytic adenovirus Ad5-delta-24-RGD during CsCl gradient ultracentrifugation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Two-cycle cesium chloride (2 × CsCl) gradient ultracentrifugation is a conventional approach for purifying recombinant adenoviruses (rAds) for research purposes (gene therapy, vaccines, and oncolytic vectors).

Cross‐Layer Molecular Design for Coherent Interface Passivation in Rigid and Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cross‐layer passivation strategy employing molecularly designed thiazol‐5‐ylmethanamine hydrochloride (TMACl) enables coherent defect regulation at the SnO2/perovskite interface, stabilizes both layers, promotes phase‐pure α‐FAPbI3 formation, and enhances charge extraction, delivering PCEs of 26.44% in rigid and 24.72% in flexible perovskite solar ...

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

Giant Mimiviridae CsCl Purification Protocol [PDF]

open access: yesBIO-PROTOCOL, 2020
While different giant viruses' purification protocols are available, they are not fully described and they use sucrose gradient that does not reach an equilibrium. Here, we report a protocol for the purification of members of the Mimiviridae family virions resulting from Acanthamoeaba castellanii infections.

VE‐Cadherin–Actin Regulation Promotes Mechanotransduction and Monolayer Maturation Involving a Tension‐Sensitive Intermediate State

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates how endothelial monolayers balance cohesion and plasticity during mechanical stimulation. In HUVECs, shear stress induces a tension‐sensitive intermediate state in which junctional VE‐cadherin and actomyosin relaxation levels coordinate actin/integrin remodeling. This rapid, reversible state strengthens cell junctions, preserves
