A comparative study of Cu-related Pasmonic effects in electrochemically nanostructured CuInSe2 and CuGaSe2 crystals

open access: yesMoldavian Journal of the Physical Sciences, 2013
We study the differences in electrochemical nanostructuring of CuInSe2 and CuGaSe2 crystals. To make the crystals suitable for electrochemical nanostructuring, they are subjected to thermal treatment either in vacuum or in Zn vapors.

Unlocking Klockmannite: Formation of Colloidal Quasi‐2D CuSe Nanocrystals and Photo‐Physical Properties Arising From Crystal Anisotropy

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 17, 20 March 2026.
Thiol‐free hot injection approach yields quasi‐2D klockmannite CuSe nanocrystals, specifically nanosheets and uniform triangular nanoplatelets. This study reconsiders the klockmannite from the point of view of crystal anisotropy and demonstrates its effect on plasmonic response in the near‐infrared spectral region with the theoretical emergence of ...

Progress in Polycrystalline Thin-Film Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Solar Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2010
For some time, the chalcopyrite semiconductor CuInSe2 and its alloy with Ga and/or S [Cu(InGa)Se2 or Cu(InGa)(Se,S)2], commonly referred as CIGS, have been leading thin-film material candidates for incorporation in high-efficiency photovoltaic devices ...

Template based precursor route for the synthesis of CuInSe2 nanorod arrays for potential solar cell applications

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2013
Polycrystalline CuInSe2 (CISe) nanorods are promising for the fabrication of highly efficient active layers in solar cells. In this work we report on a nanocasting approach, which uses track-etched polycarbonate films as hard templates for obtaining ...

Phonon Scattering by Local Off‐Centering in Diamond‐Like Cu2−XAgxIn2Se4 Chalcopyrites: High Carrier Mobility and Ultralow Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
Local Ag substitution in diamond‐like Cu2‐xAgxIn2Se4 induces dynamic off‐centering distortions that strongly scatter phonons while preserving high carrier mobility. The resulting interplay between alloy disorder and band structure yields ultralow lattice thermal conductivity and promising thermoelectric performance in this sustainable, tellurium‐free ...
