Frost Hardiness of Iraqi Wheat genotypes [PDF]
Frost hardiness level in winter cereals is especially temperature dependent. The low temperature which kills 50% of plants (LT50) is considered to be a standard indicator of frost hardiness level of plant. Frost hardiness is considered the most important

Adaptation of cotton cultivars
A set of 12 cotton genotypes were evaluated during the main growing seasons, from 1985 to 1990 at Abobo , which is characterised by low elevation (530 meters above sea level) and a sub-humid climate. The same genotypes were tested in all years. Combined analysis of yield data indicated significant differences among genotypes and environments.

EVOLUTION OF ANT-CULTIVAR SPECIALIZATION AND CULTIVAR SWITCHING IN APTEROSTIGMA FUNGUS-GROWING ANTS [PDF]
Almost all of the more than 200 species of fungus-growing ants (Formicidae: Attini) cultivate litter-decomposing fungi in the family Lepiotaceae (Basidiomycota: Agaricales). The single exception to this rule is a subgroup of ant species within the lower attine genus Apterostigma, which cultivate pterulaceous fungi distantly related to the Lepiotaceae ...

A natural variation in soybean PM30, GmPM30‐HapT, confers greater salt tolerance than GmPM30‐HapC via stronger GmLEA1‐GmPM30‐GmLEC1 interactions. Pyramiding their elite haplotypes yields additive gains in salt tolerance and yield, establishing a novel workflow linking evolutionary genomics, molecular mechanisms, and breeding applications via the module

Boron deficiency responses in maize (Zea mays L.) roots
Abstract Background Boron (B) is an essential micronutrient for plants. Dicot plants respond to insufficient B supply by altering root architecture and root hair growth. How root systems of rather low‐B demanding monocot species such as maize (Zea mays L.) respond to B deficiency in terra has not been experimentally resolved, yet.

A new intergeneric hybrid: xGastonialoe 'Gordon Rowley' [PDF]
A new intergeneric hybrid genus xGastonialoe is named for crosses with the parentage Gasteria x Gonialoe (Aloe). An attractive cultivar in this new nothogenus is named xGastonialoe 'Gordon Rowley', in honour of an ardent champion of such ...

In wild‐type of M. oryzae (Guy11), MoPrb1 and MoPep4 are delivered into the vacuole by the retromer complex to mediate protein degradation and selective autophagy. Their proper localization and catalytic functions are essential for the fungal vegetative growth, conidiation and pathogenicity. However, retromer mutations disrupt this transport, impairing

The GeneHunter‐Gene‐Level Association (GH‐GLA) pipeline enables high‐throughput gene identification in an indexed EMS population of wheat cultivar KN9204. It identifies 5905 trait‐associated wheat genes and validates key regulators of kernel weight and spikelet architecture via gene editing and haplotype analysis.
