Influence of cutting parameters on wear of diamond wire during multi-wire rocking sawing with reciprocating motion

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering, 2022
Multi-wire cutting with diamond wire saw has gradually become the main processing method for hard-and-brittle materials due to its small kerf loss and high machining accuracy.

Research of Response Difference on Coal Cutting Load under Different Cutting Parameters

open access: yesStrojniški vestnik – Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2019
Cutting performance is always an important direction in coal research, and it is related to different structural and working parameters. However, most references tend to judge the effectiveness of optimizations with a mean value method while not taking the randomness of load into consideration.

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Analysis of the Effect of Machining Parameters on the Cutting Tool Deflection in Curved Surface Machining

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of machining parameters on the deflection of a cutting tool (i.e., end mill) in the milling of a surface with a curvilinear profile. Test samples were made of aluminium alloy EN AW-7075 T651. Experiments

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Study on mechanical properties of titanium alloy with micro-texture ball-end milling cutter under different cutting edges

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
When precision cutting titanium alloy, the cutting part of cutting tool is mainly concentrated in the cutting edge area, so there is a strong emphasis upon the cutting edge’s geometric parameters.
