Analysis of tribological parameters during machining [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, a hybrid analytical-numerical approach is performed for the orthogonal cutting process. The modelling of the thermomechanical material flow in the primary shear zone, the tool-chip contact length and the sliding-sticking zones are obtained

CONDITIONS OF REDUCED COST FOR MACHINE-BUILDING PRODUCTS [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2019
The mathematical model for the cost of processing of machine parts was developed and the conditions for its reduction were determined. Analytically established the existence of a minimum of the cost of processing which achieved at high cutting speeds ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Development of a Cutting Fluid with Abrasive for Increasing a Tools Life During Milling

open access: yesJournal of Machine Engineering, 2023
In wet cutting, lubricants are used to improve lubrication, forced cooling and chip evacuation. In particular, improving the lubrication between the tool and the chip results in a lower coefficient of friction, suppressing the tool temperature change and

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Tool life prediction and management for an integrated tool selection system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In machining, it is often difficult to select appropriate tools (tool holder and insert), machining parameters (cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut) and tool replacement times for all tools due to the wide variety of tooling options and the ...

Effect of MQL in high speed end-milling of Ti-6Al-4V with PVD coated tools

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
The high speed milling of Ti-6A-4V was investigated in order to clarify the efficiency of MQL and PVD coated tool. Cutting speed was very high 200m/min. TiAlN, TiCN, TiN, DLC and non-coated tools were used. Cooling methods were dry, wet and MQL (15mL/h).
