Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Estimation of residual life of a cutting tool used in a machining process [PDF]
A significant part of cost of machining is associated with non-optimum use of cutting tool. Moreover cutting tool failure is responsible for almost 20% of the machining downtime.

Modelling and simulation on the tool wear in nanometric cutting [PDF]
Tool wear is a significant factor affecting the machined surface quality. In this paper, a Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation approach is proposed to model the wear of the diamond tool in nanometric cutting. It includes the effects of the cutting heat on

Evaluation of Cutting Tool Parameters [PDF]
AbstractEvaluation of the cutting tool is an important aspect when a machining process is monitored. At this time, microgeometry of the cutting edge is very frequently used term. It has a great influence on the cutting process and it is necessary to know how correctly to measure parameters of the cutting edge to ensure reliability and repeatability ...

Tool post modification allows easy turret lathe cutting-tool alignment [PDF]
Modified tool holder and tool post permit alignment of turret lathe cutting tools on the center of the spindle. The tool is aligned with the spindle by the holder which is kept in position by a hydraulic lock in feature of the tool post. The tool post is

Dynamic analysis of runout correction in milling [PDF]
Tool runout and its effects is an important area of research within modelling, simulation, and control of milling forces. Tool runout causes tool cutting edges to experience uneven forces during milling.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
