Studies of Conformational Equilibria and Equilibration by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy [PDF]
The study of conformational equilibria and equilibration by nuclear magnetic resonance in cyclic compounds has been found to be considerably facilitated by use of ^(19)F spectra of gem-fluoro derivatives.

A radical cascade process involving the activation of two aliphatic C–H bonds in a series of five elementary steps converts readily available terminal alkynes into functionalized cyclopentylmethyl arylsulfones. The methodology delivers flexible synthetic intermediates and was applied to the preparation of diquinanes and triquinanes possessing a rare ...

Precisely synthesized hexabrominated [9]cycloparaphenylene (CPP), accessed by a gold‐mediated method, enables efficient multisite post‐functionalization through cross‐coupling reactions. Late‐stage π‐extension on the CPP framework successfully affords armchair‐type chiral nanohoops exhibiting strong circularly polarized luminescence (|glum| = 0.100 ...

An iron‐catalyzed protocol for the cascade cyclization of N‐aryl and N‐benzoyl acrylamides promoted by methane and other gaseous alkanes is reported. The current protocol provides an efficient platform for the conversion of feedstock gaseous alkanes into complex and medicinally relevant N‐heterocycles.
