From Mn(II)3 to Mn(IV)3: Controlled Multielectron Oxidation and Hydrocarbon Oxygenation Within a 7‐Dipy Trinuclear Scaffold

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
A trinuclear manganese complex supported by the 7‐Dipy scaffold undergoes controlled multielectron oxidation from Mn(II)3 to high‐valent Mn(IV)3 states. Spectroscopic signatures, including 16‐line and geff ≈ 5 EPR features, reveal stepwise redox accumulation. The oxidized Mn3 cluster mediates efficient oxygen‐atom transfer to strong CH bonds, enabling

Binder Design in Extrusion‐Based 3D Printing of Electrodes: Enhancing Printability and Electrochemical Performance in Energy Storage Devices

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Binder design plays a pivotal role in extrusion‐based 3D printing of energy storage electrodes by simultaneously governing ink printability and electrochemical performance. This review examines how diverse binder materials and design strategies are employed to enable printability while addressing key electrochemical challenges in energy storage devices,

Enhanced Formation of Dicarboxylic Acids in the Catalytic Oxidation of Polyethylene With O2 and NOx

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 34, 17 August 2026.
The oxidation of polyethylene in the presence of a mixture of O2 and NOx and with Cu2+/V5+ as catalyst yields ∼51 mol% diacids, while retaining ∼80 mol% of the carbon in the oil fraction. The developed method is robust and tolerates several polymer types as well as impurities.

Visible‐light‐promoted catalyst‐free benzylic C‐H oxidation using molecular oxygen as a green oxidant

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
A green and simple photo‐oxygenation of benzylic C‐H bond with molecular oxygen was developed for the preparation of a series of carbonyl compounds. The straightforward C‐H carbonylation strategy features catalyst‐ and additive‐free reaction conditions, only oxygen as a green oxidant, broad scope and scalable, and the simple‐operation nature.

Novel approaches for drug development against chronic primary pain: A systematic review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Chronic primary pain (CPP) persisting for more than 3 months, associated with significant emotional distress without any known underlying cause, is an unmet medical need. Traditional or adjuvant analgesics do not provide satisfactory pain relief for a great proportion of these patients.

Comprehensive in vitro profiling of traditional and emerging stimulants at monoamine transporters and the 5‐HT2A receptor

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
A pharmacological profiling of 58 synthetic stimulants of various classes at dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin transporters and the 5‐HT2A receptor, most showing distinct class‐dependent profiles, with some indicating a high abuse potential. Background and Purpose New psychoactive substances (NPSs) often emerge on the illicit drug market with ...

Advances in organic UV filters for sunscreens over the past decade

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Highlighted organic UV filter frameworks that have been described for sunscreens over the past decade divided into three groups: derivatives of or inspired by approved organic UV filters, natural product‐based compounds, and miscellaneous. Abstract Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a major environmental factor in photoaging, erythema, and skin cancer ...

Hydrogenolysis of Guaiacol to Phenol Over Ru‐FeOx Nanoparticles Supported on TiO2

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 340-348, September 2026.
This work demonstrates that the Ru/FeOx–TiO2 catalyst enables selective CAr–OCH3 bond cleavage in water, achieving a phenol selectivity of 81.1% at a 90.4% conversion of guaiacol. The synergy between Ru and FeOx can effectively promote the selective hydrogenolysis of CAr–OCH3 bonds without the obvious hydrogenation of the benzene ring.

Recent Zeolite Modifications in Bifunctional Catalysts for Carbon Dioxide Hydrogenation to Aromatics: A Minireview†

open access: yesChinese Journal of Chemistry, Volume 44, Issue 17, Page 2933-2949, 1 September 2026.
Thermocatalytic hydrogenation of CO2 to aromatic hydrocarbons represents a sustainable route for high‐value CO2 utilization. Bifunctional catalysts combining metal/metal oxide components with acidic zeolites enable the direct synthesis of BTX aromatics.

Exploiting the Reverse Function of Ene‐Reductase Enzymes in the Continuous Flow Synthesis of Naphthols From Tetralones

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 16, 18 August 2026.
The development and optimization of a continuous flow method for the use of ERED enzymes in the reverse mode is presented to convert tetralones into naphthols using air as the terminal oxidant. Both solution‐phase and the immobilized enzyme were explored along with different reactor configurations leading to product yields of up to 83% in short ...
