In the spring of 2015, symptoms similar to those of fire blight were observed on quince Cydonia oblonga trees at the flowering in an orchard in the Practical Scientific Institute of Horticulture and Food Technology. Symptoms consisted of wilted and shrivelled leaves that turned brown but remained attached.
