Elevated Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen, Cytokeratin 19 Fragment, and Carcinoembryonic Antigen Levels in Diabetic Nephropathy [PDF]
Objective. We aimed to explore whether squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC), cytokeratin 19 fragment (Cyfra21-1), neuron-specific enolase (NSE), and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) are elevated in diabetic nephropathy (DN) and the association between ...

To investigate the clinical value in lung cancer of a combination of four serum tumor markers, haptoglobin (Hp), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), neuron specific enolase (NSE) as well as the cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFRA21-1).Serum Hp (with immune-turbidimetric method), CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 (with chemiluminescence method) level were assessed in 193 ...

Diagnostic value analysis of combined detection of Trx, CYFRA21-1 and SCCA in lung cancer. [PDF]
The expression levels of thioredoxin (Trx), cytokeratin fragment 21-1 (CYFRA21-1) and serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) in patients with lung cancer and the diagnostic value of combined detection were investigated. Sixty-five patients with lung cancer in Weihai Municipal Hospital from January 2014 to June 2017 were retrospectively selected ...

Diagnostic Accuracy of CYFRA21-1 in the Differential Diagnosis of Pleural Effusions [PDF]
Approximately 20% of pleural effusions are associated with cancer; about 50% require invasive procedures to perform diagnosis. Determination of the concentration of soluble cytokeratin 19-fragments (CYFRA21-1) may help identify patients with malignant effusions. However, pathologies other than cancer can increase its concentration.

Diagnostic utility of LDH, CA125 and CYFRA21-1 in tuberculosis pleural effusion
The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic value of several markers for tuberculosis pleural effusion (TPE) using the combined analysis of Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), Cytokeratin-19 fragment (CYFRA21-1).From January to December in 2018, a total of 37 patients with pleural effusion (22 cases of transudative ...

Increases in Serum CYFRA21-1 Concentration during Successful Treatment with Crizotinib [PDF]
Increases in tumor marker concentrations usually suggest disease progression. We here describe on 3 patients with non-small cell lung cancer whose serum concentrations of CYFRA21-1 increased in spite of successful treatment with crizotinib. Discontinuation of crizotinib resulted in a rapid decrease in serum CYFRA21-1 concentrations in all cases.

Evaluation of serum CEA, CYFRA21-1 and CA125 for the early detection of colorectal cancer using longitudinal preclinical samples [PDF]
Blood-borne biomarkers for early detection of colorectal cancer (CRC) could markedly increase screening uptake. The aim of this study was to evaluate serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), CYFRA21-1 and CA125 for the early detection of CRC in an ...
