Antiviral Actions of 25-Hydroxycholesterol in Fish Vary With the Virus-Host Combination
Cholesterol is essential for building and maintaining cell membranes and is critical for several steps in the replication cycle of viruses, especially for enveloped viruses. In mammalian cells virus infections lead to the accumulation of the oxysterol 25-

Survival Rate and Immunological Responses of Mirror Carp Selective Breeding Generations to CyHV‐3
AbstractTo explore the effect of three selective generations of mirror carp, Cyprinus carpio L., resistant to Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV‐3), the mirror carp were infected with the virus, and differences of survival rate and immunity among generations were evaluated.

This study investigated the immune responses induced in gibel carp, Carassius auratus gibelio, following immersion and intraperitoneal (i.p.) vaccination with live attenuated Cyprinid herpesvirus 2 (CyHV‐2). Transcriptome sequencing analysis was performed on the kidney tissues of the experimental fish at 3, 7, and 14 days postvaccination.
