Cariopathologic changes in human binuclear and mononuclear T-cells under the influence of cytochalasin B and lead chloride in vitro

open access: yesБюллетень сибирской медицины, 2005
The influence of PbCl2 on PHA-stimulated culture of human¢s T-cells was analyzed in the investigation. The number of mitotic cells was increased in cultures with PbCl2.

Toward Nano‐Nutritional Medicine: A Remotely Activated Trans‐Vaccenic Acid‐Based Lipid Nanoparticles for Enhancing Immune Checkpoint Blockade Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Eutectic mixtures from trans‐vaccenic acid (TVA) and stearic acid, which served as phase‐change material to encapsulate IR780, forming NIR‐responsive nanoparticles. IR780@TVA LNPs induce photothermal therapy and initiate adaptive anti‐tumor immunity.

An enantioselective, modular, and general route to the cytochalasins: Synthesis of L-696,474 and cytochalasin B [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2004
The cytochalasins are structurally complex natural products with a broad range of apparently unrelated effects in different biological systems. Different members of the family have variously demonstrated inhibitory activity toward the formation of actin filaments, toward the functioning of HIV protease, and toward the process of angiogenesis.

Surfaceome Reprogramming of Stemsomes Promotes Lung Cancer Targeting via Potentiated Receptor–Ligand Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a surfaceome‐reprogramming strategy for mutation‐independent lung cancer therapy by repurposing dexamethasone to prime mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanovesicles. The engineered vesicles leverage multi‐valent interactions mediated by upregulated adhesion proteins, EPHA2, and NOTCH3.

PDGFRα+/Integrin α2+ Fibroblasts Orchestrate Tumor Budding in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma via Mechano‐Metabolic Symbiosis: E‐Cadherin/Integrin α2β1 Adhesion and Mitochondrial Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PDGFA/PDGFRα signaling recruits CAFs to OSCC nests, and CAF‐OSCC contact drives tumor budding invasion. Mechanistically, heterotypic adhesion via E‐cadherin/integrin α2β1 activates YAP signaling in OSCC cells, inducing EMT. Concurrently, CAFs transfer mitochondria through TNTs, supplying ATP to fuel invasion.

Artificial Extracellular Vesicles Generated from T Cells Using Different Induction Techniques

open access: yesBiomedicines
Cell therapy is at the forefront of biomedicine in oncology and regenerative medicine. However, there are still significant challenges to their wider clinical application such as limited efficacy, side effects, and logistical difficulties.

Commensal Bacteria-Induced Inflammasome Activation in Mouse and Human Macrophages Is Dependent on Potassium Efflux but Does Not Require Phagocytosis or Bacterial Viability. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Gut commensal bacteria contribute to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease, in part by activating the inflammasome and inducing secretion of interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß).

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

Overcoming intranasal delivery barriers with ultrastable polyzwitterionic siRNA nanocages for enhanced glioblastoma therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
A ROS‐responsive, zwitterionic nanocage enables stable, intranasal siRNA delivery to glioblastoma, promoting deep tumor penetration via non‐degradative pathways and trigeminal nerve transport. This platform achieves durable gene silencing and tumor suppression, offering a non‐invasive, storage‐stable strategy for treating glioma and other neurological ...
