Plant‐derived bioactive molecules with low solubility and permeability induce hepatocyte injury, though the mechanisms driving their hepatic effects remain poorly understood. This study identifies a novel transport pathway in which poorly soluble indirubin accumulates in the liver via macrophage‐mediated uptake in Peyer's patches, exacerbating hepatic ...

Oxidative and apoptotic effects of fluoxetine and its metabolite norfluoxetine in Daphnia magna
The aim of this study was to investigate the oxidative and apoptotic potential of fluoxetine, a widely used antidepressant in Turkey and the world, and of its metabolite norfluoxetine on a model non-target organism, Daphnia magna to see how exposure to ...

Tumor‐associated TP53 inactivation correlates with lipid droplet (LD) accumulation. High‐fat diets drive Cyb5r3‐Myh9‐mediated p53 enrichment on LD surfaces, accelerating its degradation while upregulating LD‐promoting factor CD36 expression to establish a feed‐forward loop. LD suppression or dietary intervention restores p53 and inhibits tumorigenesis,

Correlation between coordination geometry and catalytic activity of carbonic anhydrase‐mimetic single‐atom Zn–N4 active sites is revealed. Among tetrahedral, distorted tetrahedral, and square‐planar Zn–N4 geometric configurations, the distorted tetrahedral Zn–N4 exhibits superior CO2 hydrolysis performance. This is attributed to increased Lewis acidity,

Binding of arylazidocytochrome c to yeast cytochrome c peroxidase.
Cytochrome c derivatives modified with a photoactivatable arylazido group in selected lysine residues were irradiated in the presence of cytochrome c peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.5). A derivative modified at lysine 13 was able to cross-link to the enzyme and inhibit electron transfer activity.

Cocrystals of yeast cytochrome c peroxidase and horse heart cytochrome c.
Yeast cytochrome c peroxidase and horse heart cytochrome c have been cocrystallized in a form suitable for x-ray diffraction studies and the structure determined at 3.3 A. The asymmetric unit contains a dimer of the peroxidase which was oriented and positioned in the unit cell using molecular replacement techniques.

Harnessing the Biological Responses Induced by Nanomaterials for Enhanced Cancer Therapy
Nanomaterial (NM)‐induced toxicity can be strategically repurposed for cancer therapy. This review summarizes the mechanism by which NMs selectively activate specific cellular processes to regulate cell fate independently. We also discussed how NMs‐induced biological responses can be leveraged as therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.
