Fibroblast Activation Protein Expression Differs Between Inflamed and Fibrostenotic Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesJCC Plus, Volume 1, Issue 5, September 2026.
This study demonstrates that fibroblast activation protein expression is elevated in inflamed and fibrostenotic inflammatory bowel disease, with highest levels in fibrostenotic Crohn's disease. Cellular fibroblast activation protein predominates in inflamed tissues and localises to α‐SMA−PDPN−CD90+ stromal cells. ABSTRACT Background Intestinal fibrosis

Nanomaterial‐Mediated Radiotherapy–Immunotherapy Combinations: Breaking Immunosuppression and Revolutionizing Cancer Treatment

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
Nanomaterials integrate radiotherapy and immunotherapy by enhancing radiosensitivity, remodeling the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, and promoting systemic antitumor immunity. This review summarizes the latest strategies of nanomaterial‐mediated combinations (RT, immunotherapy, IRT) and highlights future directions for overcoming clinical ...

Single-cell Immune Atlas of Pituitary Neuroendocrine Tumors using CyTOF

open access: yes
Whether the tumor microenvironment (TME) is shaped by endocrine function, as well as its diversity and function, in pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (pitNETs) remains understudied.

CyTOF and CITE-seq T1D B cell normalized data set

open access: yes, 2022
Insulin and Tetanus binding B cells were collected via MACS sorting for analysis using CyTOF (cytometry by time of flight). Data was then analyzed using unsupervised clustering and manual gating to find unique phenotypes and populations associated with ...

Mass Cytometry Assays for Antigen-Specific T Cells Using CyTOF [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
T Cells specific for a single antigen tend to be rare, even after expansion of memory cells. They are commonly detected by in vitro stimulation with peptides or protein, followed by staining for intracellular cytokines. In this protocol, we use CyTOF® mass cytometry to collect single-cell data on a large number of cytokines/chemokines, as well as cell ...

Baseline immune profile by CyTOF can predict response to an investigational adjuvanted vaccine in elderly adults

open access: yes, 2018
Background Mass cytometry, or CyTOF (Cytometry by Time-of-Flight), permits the simultaneous detection of over 40 phenotypic and functional immune markers in individual cells without the issues of spectral overlap seen in traditional flow cytometry ...
