Pericytes change function depending on glioblastoma vicinity: emphasis on immune regulation
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Pericytes alter their transcriptome depending on their proximity to the tumor core. In the tumor core, pericytes display a more active state with higher communication strength but with lower immune activation potential and a shift toward extracellular matrix production.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Microglia (BV2) and IL‐4‐treated BMDMs promote astrocytoma clustering and inhibit tumor growth, not shown in other macrophage cells. In vivo, microglial co‐implantation enhances CD8+ T cell infiltration, elevates Granzyme B, lowers circulating MDSCs, and extends survival only in immune‐competent mice, but not in immune‐deficient mice.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Bleve et al. uncover a cholesterol‐driven immune evasion pathway, where RORγ‐dependent myelopoiesis shapes tumor immunosuppression. Targeting RORγ and PCSK9 emerges as a strategy to boost cancer immunotherapy. Protumoral myelopoiesis is a determinant of immunoevasion and tumor spread in many malignancies.
