Alluvial fan aggradation during the MIS 6 sea‐level lowstand in the lower reach of the Tenryu River, Japan

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 11, 15 September 2025.
Three aggradation phases (255–245, 220–210, 180–160 ka) formed Tenryu River fan terraces. Despite sea‐level fall after MIS 7, major aggradation occurred at 180–160 ka, which was likely driven by enhanced sediment supply due to intensified summer monsoon and slope instability from treeline lowering and reduced vegetation.

Modeling Changes in Flow Dynamics From the Restoration of a Distributary Slough Along a Large Floodplain River

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, Volume 41, Issue 7, Page 1400-1417, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Sloughs are slow‐moving or still water systems that serve as an important ecosystem component connecting rivers and floodplains such as the Apalachicola River in northwest Florida. However, sloughs of the Apalachicola River have become hydrologically disconnected from the mainstem due to the impact of failed navigation projects such as channel

Near Steady Late Pleistocene Tropical Denudation Rates in SW Madagascar

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface, Volume 130, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract Denudation is a key parameter controlling the evolution of the Earth's surface, the production of soils, the stability of relief, or the long‐term evolution of climate. Climate fluctuations conversely have a strong impact on denudation, but these complex feedback mechanisms are still under‐constrained.
