Behavioral and Physiological Response of Eucosma giganteana to Semiochemicals From Conspecifics and Silphium integrifolium

There was an increase in attraction by Eucosma giganteana to (E)‐8‐dodecenyl acetate in the field, which also elicited a higher antennal response in the laboratory. Effects of varying concentrations of a polymer‐based fixative (FIXSCENT) were studied on perfume samples and the results indicated a sustained release pattern and a significant delay in the release of both top and heart notes upon addition of 5% FIXSCENT.
