Efficient D-optimal designs under multiplicative heteroscedasticity. [PDF]

open access: yes
In optimum design theory designs are constructed that maximize the information on the unknown parameters of the response function. The major part deals with designs optimal for response function estimation under the assumption of homoscedasticity.

Exact D-optimal designs of experiments for linear multiple regression with heteroscedastic observations

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2018
In article the problem of construction of exact D-optimal designs of experiments for linear multiple regression in a case when variance of errors of observations depend on a point in which is made is investigated. The class functions describing change of

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Bayesian and maximin optimal designs for heteroscedastic regression models [PDF]

open access: yes
The problem of constructing standardized maximin D-optimal designs for weighted polynomial regression models is addressed. In particular it is shown that, by following the broad approach to the construction of maximin designs introduced recently by Dette,

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Anytime Optimal Coalition Structure Generation

open access: yes, 2007
Forming effective coalitions is a major research challenge in the field of multi-agent systems. Central to this endeavour is the problem of determining the best groups of agents to select to achieve some goal.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

International Schumpeterian Competition and Optimal R&D subsidies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies the welfare effects of international competition in the market for innovations, and analyzes how competition affects the costs and the benefits of cooperative and non-cooperative R&D subsidies.
