On D12 modules

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we introduce Rad-D12 modules as a generalization of D12 modules. We also investigate some properties of Rad-?-supplemented modules relative to Rad-D12 modules. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a module to be Rad-D12 are obtained.

Robotic‐Assisted Extended Sistrunk Approach (RESA) for Salvage Surgery After Head and Neck Irradiation

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The robotic‐assisted extended “Sistrunk” approach (RESA) is a minimally invasive technique providing access to hypopharyngeal and laryngeal structures via a submental incision and vallecular pharyngotomy, bypassing the base of tongue.

Association between patient safety culture, adverse events, and essential practices during childbirth in six Brazilian maternity hospitals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective This study examines whether hospitals with stronger patient safety culture more consistently follow essential birth practices and have fewer adverse outcomes for mothers and newborns and whether this evidence can guide maternity care priorities in patient safety policy.

Recent advances in spin‐orbit torque and magnetization switching of transition metal oxides

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
This review systematically introduces recent advances in transition metal oxides spintronics, including the underlying mechanisms of spin current generation and related symmetry theory, the magnetization switching processes driven by spin currents and magnon currents, respectively, as well as their corresponding transport properties, finally presenting

Lateral Carbon Transport Induced by Watershed Erosion: Driving Effects of Land Use, Rainfall, and Landscape Controls

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lateral carbon transport induced by soil erosion is a key component of the global carbon cycle. Over the past 50 years, ecological restoration projects in the Loess Plateau of China have increased vegetation coverage. However, the effects of land use, precipitation variability, and landscape factors on lateral carbon transport remain unclear ...

Consumers’ Competences as a Stimulant of Sustainable Consumption

open access: yesFolia Oeconomica Stetinensia, 2017
The paper contains considerations on the issue of sustainable consumption whose stimulator may be consumer competences. The problem can be examined in the cognitive, emotional and behavioural dimensions. Besides the theoretical approach, the authors have

Interaction With Surface Spins as a Contribution to Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation of Liquids Adsorbed in Mesoporous Materials

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, EarlyView.
Liquids at silica interfaces experience demixing as a consequence of their respective polarity. The distribution of liquids and their primary relaxation contributions are studied by surface modification with OD and radical moieties, respectively. ABSTRACT NMR relaxation of liquids in the presence of solid interfaces, such as silica gel or porous glass,
