Chromosome Segregation in Closed Mitosis Under an Excess of Nuclear Envelope
This study investigated the impact of Nem1‐Spo7/lipin‐mediated nuclear envelope (NE) size regulation during closed mitosis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Nem1 depletion resulted in persistent chromatin protrusions, particularly at the rDNA locus, leading to lagging chromosome XII's right arm sisters during late anaphase.

Insurance, redistribution, and the inequality of lifetime income
Individuals vary considerably in how much they earn during their lifetimes. This study examines the role of the tax‐and‐transfer system in mitigating such inequalities, which could otherwise lead to disparities in living standards. Utilizing a life‐cycle model, we determine that the tax‐and‐transfer system offsets 45% of lifetime earnings inequality ...

Abstract Differences in mind‐mindedness and parental reflective functioning (PRF) were investigated in mothers and their 6‐month‐old infants from South Korea (N = 66, 32 girls) and the United Kingdom (N = 63, 26 girls). Mind‐mindedness was assessed in terms of appropriate and non‐attuned mind‐related comments during infant–mother interaction; PRF was ...

Trans-Planckian Physics and Inflationary Cosmology [PDF]
Due to the quasi-exponential red-shifting which occurs during an inflationary period in the very early Universe, wavelengths which at the present time correspond to cosmological lengths are in general sub-Planckian during the early stages of inflation ...

Scalar field dark energy and Cosmic Microwave Background
A dynamical scalar field represents the simplest generalization of a pure Cosmological Constant as a candidate to explain the recent evidence in favour of the accelerated cosmic expansion. We review the dynamical properties of such a component, and argue
