Changes in temperature and precipitation extremes in the IPCC ensemble of global coupled model simulations [PDF]
Temperature and precipitation extremes and their potential future changes are evaluated in an ensemble of global coupled climate models participating in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) diagnostic exercise for the Fourth Assessment ...

Analysis of the daily minimum temperatures for Belgrade and Nis
The present work is an analysis of the daily minimum temperatures during the period 1949-2009 in Belgrade and Nis using the climate indice TN10p, i.e. a number of days per year with the minimum temperature less than the 10th percentile (cold nights). A positive trend of the absolute minimum temperatures is found in Belgrade and Nis.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

The effect of water temperature on routine swimming behaviour of new born guppies (Poecilia reticulata) [PDF]
Funding for this research came from The Buckland Foundation, The Scottish Fisheries Museum Trust Ltd. Additional costs and supplies were provided by the School of Biology of The University of St Andrews.Guppies have successfully established populations ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Climate change detection and attribution: Beyond mean temperature signals [PDF]
A significant influence of anthropogenic forcing has been detected in global- and continental-scale surface temperature, temperature of the free atmosphere, and global ocean heat uptake.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Vegetation NDVI Linked to Temperature and Precipitation in the Upper Catchments of Yellow River [PDF]
Vegetation in the upper catchment of Yellow River is critical for the ecological stability of the whole watershed. The dominant vegetation cover types in this region are grassland and forest, which can strongly influence the eco-environmental status of ...

Nonlinear correlations of daily temperature records over land [PDF]
We present a near global statistics on the correlation properties of daily temperature records. Data from terrestrial meteorological stations in the Global Daily Climatology Network are analyzed by means of detrended fluctuation analysis.

The map shows the mean daily temperatures based on the 30-year period 1941-1970 for the warmest month in Canada. Although, the most direct and the most intense incoming solar radiation occurs in June, there is a lag in the warming of the Earths surface. As a result the warmest month in Canada is normally July.
