Radiation damages in CMOS image sensors: testing and hardening challenges brought by deep sub-micrometer CIS processes [PDF]
This paper presents a summary of the main results we observed after several years of study on irradiated custom imagers manufactured using 0,18 µm CMOS processes dedicated to imaging.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The Clustering of Dark Matter, Haloes & Galaxies [PDF]
In this thesis I study the spatial distribution of galaxies, haloes and dark matter particlesin the Universe. The subjects investigated are conceptually divided into three areas. One line of research, which is made up of Chapters 2 and 3, is to explore ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Ionizing radiation effects on CMOS imagers manufactured in deep submicron process [PDF]
We present here a study on both CMOS sensors and elementary structures (photodiodes and in-pixel MOSFETs) manufactured in a deep submicron process dedicated to imaging.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Dark Current Studies for SwissFEL
Activation of the surroundings of an accelerator must be quantified and those data provided to the official agencies. This is a necessary step in obtaining the authorization to operate such an accelerator. SwissFEL, being a fourth generation light source, will produce more accelerated charges, which are dumped or lost, than conventional third ...

Limits on spin-dependent WIMP-proton cross-sections using the DRIFT-IId directional dark matter detector [PDF]
The nature of dark matter remains one of the biggest questions in physics today. Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) are a particularly well motivated candidate for the missing matter that makes up 85% of the mass of the Universe.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
