Rad Tolerant CMOS Image Sensor Based on Hole Collection 4T Pixel Pinned Photodiode [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
1.4μm pixel pitch CMOS Image sensors based on hole collection pinned photodiode (HPD) have been irradiated with 60Co source. The HPD sensors exhibit much lower dark current degradation than equivalent commercial sensors using an Electron collection ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

2D/3D Perovskite Surface Passivation-Enabled High-Detectivity Near-Infrared Photodiodes

open access: yesSensors
Due to high responsivity and wide spectral sensitivity, metal halide perovskite photodiodes have a wide range of applications in the fields of visible light and near-infrared photodetection.

The internal structure of Cold Dark Matter Haloes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Currently favoured cosmological models for structure formation of the Universe assume that a large fraction of the mass of the Universe is 'dark'. The evidence for dark matter comes from observations of its gravitational influence.

Dark energy–matter equivalence by the evolution of cosmic equation of state

open access: yes, 2023
We consider a model-independent approach to constrain the equivalence redshift, z e q , at which dark energy and the total matter (cold dark matter and baryonic) equate their magnitudes.

High-speed graphene-silicon-graphene waveguide PDs with high photo-to-dark-current ratio and large linear dynamic range

open access: yes, 2022
Two-dimensional materials (2DMs) meet the demand of broadband and low-cost photodetection on silicon for many applications. Currently, it is still very challenging to realize excellent silicon-2DM PDs.

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Influence of displacement damage dose on dark current distributions of irradiated CMOS image sensors [PDF]

open access: yes
Dark current increase distributions due to displacement damages are modeled using displacement damage dose concept. Several CMOS image sensors have been exposed to neutrons or protons and we have characterized their degradation in terms of dark current ...

A Dark-Matter Search Using the Final CDMS II Dataset and a Novel Detector of Surface Radiocontamination [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Substantial evidence from galaxies, galaxy clusters, and cosmological scales suggests that ~85% of the matter of our universe is invisible. The missing matter, or "dark matter" is likely composed of non-relativistic, non-baryonic particles, which have ...
