Enhanced Glycolysis‐Driven Histone H3K18 Lactylation Regulates Epileptogenesis by Modulating the E3 Ubiquitin Ligase COP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neuronal PKM2‐driven glycolysis generates excess lactate that triggers histone H3K18 lactylation (H3K18la), establishing a pathogenic metabolic‐epigenetic axis in epilepsy. Elevated H3K18la enriches the Cop1 promoter, transcriptionally upregulating the E3 ubiquitin ligase COP1, which subsequently drives proteasomal degradation of GABAARβ2 and impairs ...

Sex‐Specific Regulation of Glycemic Homeostasis by Theabrownin from Pu‐erh Tea

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pu‐erh tea's key component, theabrownin (TB), lowers blood glucose in a sex‐specific manner. In females, estrogen boosts intestinal MUC2 production, which dramatically enhances TB's ability to inhibit the carbohydrate‐digesting enzyme α‐glucosidase.

Dark tea extracts: Chemical constituents and modulatory effect on gastrointestinal function

open access: yesBiomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, 2020
Processing of dark tea varieties, such as Fu brick tea, Liupao tea, Qianliang tea, and Qing brick tea, includes solid-state fermentation involving microorganisms. In this study, we analyzed the major chemical constituents of dark tea extracts and evaluated their modulatory effect on the gastrointestinal function in normal mice, including the ...

Complete mitochondrial genome and phylogenetic analysis of Penicillium citrinum in dark tea [PDF]

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part B, 2019
Penicillium citrinum is a common polluting microorganism in dark tea production. Our study was performed to report the complete mitochondrial genome of P. citrinum. The mitochondrial genome of P. citrinum was a circular DNA molecule of 27,537 bp in length, encoding 42 genes as follows: 15 PCGs, two rRNAs, 24 tRNAs, and an independent ORF. A (36.14%), T

Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Efficient Electrocatalytic Conversion of CO2 to Pure Formic Acid Solutions via Strain‐Engineered Bismuth Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tensile‐strained bismuth nanosheets (TS‐BiNs) achieve a formate Faradaic efficiency of 92% at −1000 mA cm−2 and enable stable production of pure formic acid (HCOOH) in a solid‐state electrolyte reactor. Theoretical calculations reveal that the introduced strain lowers the energy barrier for *OCHO intermediate formation, fundamentally enhancing the ...

Dynamic Self‐Clickable Decellularized Matrix Hydrogels for Regulating Vascularity and Enhancing Muscle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.
