Data-driven optimal terminal iterative learning control

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents a data-driven optimal terminal iterative learning control (TILC) approach for linear and nonlinear discrete-time systems. The iterative learning control law is updated from only terminal output tracking error instead of entire output ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Data-Driven Approach for Parameter Estimation and Control of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

open access: yesJournal of Eta Maritime Science
This paper showcases a data-driven non-linear adaptive controller design employing an unfalsification approach to attain optimal estimates for unknown parameters in an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).

Iterative learning control for uncertain systems : noncausal finite time-interval robust control design

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we present a novel robust Iterative Learning Control (ILC) control strategy that is robust against model uncertainty as given by an additive uncertainty model.

Data-driven abstraction-based control synthesis

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems
This paper studies formal synthesis of controllers for continuous-space systems with unknown dynamics to satisfy requirements expressed as linear temporal logic formulas. Formal abstraction-based synthesis schemes rely on a precise mathematical model of the system to build a finite abstract model, which is then used to design a controller.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Perspectives of data-driven LPV modeling of high-purity distillation columns

open access: yes, 2013
—This paper investigates data-driven, Linear- Parameter-Varying (LPV) modeling of a high-purity distillation column. Two LPV modeling approaches are studied: a local approach, corresponding to the interpolation of Linear Time- Invariant (LTI) models ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Bipedal Stepping Controller Design Considering Model Uncertainty: A Data-Driven Perspective

open access: yesBiomimetics
This article introduces a novel perspective on designing a stepping controller for bipedal robots. Typically, designing a state-feedback controller to stabilize a bipedal robot to a periodic orbit of step-to-step (S2S) dynamics based on a reduced-order ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
