Genome-wide multi-parametric analysis of H2AX or γH2AX distributions during ionizing radiation-induced DNA damage response [PDF]
Background: After induction of DNA double strand breaks (DSBs), the DNA damage response (DDR) is activated. One of the earliest events in DDR is the phosphorylation of serine 139 on the histone variant H2AX (gH2AX) catalyzed by phosphatidylinositol 3 ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Ahnung? Erkenntnis? Antizipatorisches in der DDR-Lyrik der Vor-Wende-Zeit
The ability of poetry – on the basis of its generic capability to bring together playfulness and awareness, an anticipated future (Ahnung) and the present – has had consequences for the history of German poetry insofar as poetry could function as a ...

Replicating aging and senescence‐related pathophysiological responses in kidney organoids remains a significant challenge. Human adult renal tubular organoid, tubuloids, are successfully developed recapitulating cellular senescence that is the central pathophysiological mechanism of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Neuere heterocyclische Zwischenprodukte für die Azokupplung durch Cyclisierung von Nitrilen
Two types of syntheses of heteroaromatic amines by cyclization of nitriles are described. It is dealt with the cyclization of nitriles by elemental sulphur yielding thiophenes and thiazoles and with some reactions of the resulting 2-amino-thiophene-3 ...

Altered modulation of lamin A/C-HDAC2 interaction and p21 expression during oxidative stress response in HGPS [PDF]
Defects in stress response are main determinants of cellular senescence and organism aging. In fibroblasts from patients affected by Hutchinson-Gilford progeria, a severe LMNA-linked syndrome associated with bone resorption, cardiovascular disorders, and
