A six‐plex droplet digital RT‐PCR assay for seasonal influenza virus typing, subtyping, and lineage determination [PDF]

open access: yesInfluenza and Other Respiratory Viruses, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 720-729, November 2020., 2020
Background: There are two influenza A subtypes (H1 and H3) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata) that currently co-circulate in humans.

Rapid determination of the complexity of cDNA bands extracted from DDRT-PCR polyacrylamide gels. [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Res, 1997
A band extracted from a differential display polyacrylamide gel often represents a composite of heterogeneous products. We have developed a non- radioactive method to simply and rapidly analyse its complexity. A fluorescent restriction enzyme fingerprint of the composite mixture is generated.

Identification of differentially expressed mRNA species by an improved display technique (DDRT-PCR). [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Res, 1993
We have significantly improved a method originally developed by Liang and Pardee [Science 257 (1992) 967-971] to display a broad spectrum of expressed genes and to detect differences in expression between different cell types. We have analysed various aspects of the technique and have modified it for both, the application to fast and efficient ...

Aerobic phenol degradation using native bacterial consortium via ortho–and meta–cleavage pathways [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Effective bioremediation of a phenol-polluted environment harnesses microorganisms’ ability to utilize hazardous compounds as beneficial degraders. In the present study, a consortium consisting of 15 bacterial strains was utilized. The current study aims

Increased ATP generation in the host cell is required for efficient vaccinia virus production [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Science, 2009
To search for cellular genes up-regulated by vaccinia virus (VV) infection, differential display-reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (ddRT-PCR) assays were used to examine the expression of mRNAs from mock-infected and VV-infected HeLa cells.

Differential Expression ESTs Associated with Fluorosis in Rats Liver [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Genomics, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
The fluoride has volcanic activity and abundantly exists in environment combining with other elements as fluoride compounds. Recent researches indicated that the molecular mechanisms of intracellular fluoride toxicity were very complex.

Normalization of NPM1 mutant transcript to the wild-type transcript. [PDF]

open access: yesEJHaem, 2022
Abstract Current guidelines recommend that Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients with NPM1 mutations should be monitored for measurable residual disease by quantifying the transcripts and normalizing them to ABL1 transcripts. In this short report, a simple and highly accurate method to quantify the NPM1 mutant transcript normalized to the wild‐type ...

Digital droplet RT-LAMP increases speed of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA detection. [PDF]

open access: yesSmart Med
We have developed a digital droplet RT‐LAMP (ddRT‐LAMP) assay that rapidly and quantitatively detects the SARS‐CoV‐2 viral E gene in microfluidic drops. Droplet partitioning using ddRT‐LAMP significantly accelerates detection times across a wide range of template concentrations compared to bulk RT‐LAMP assays.
