Cross‐Coupling Reactions in Aqueous Micellar Media

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
Thanks to their ability to efficiently and reliably construct carbon‐carbon and carbon‐heteroatom bonds, cross‐coupling reactions remain at the forefront of chemical research in both academic and industrial settings. However, the growing emphasis on sustainability has exposed the shortcomings of cross‐coupling chemistry in several areas, including the ...

Photoredox Decarboxylative 3‐Fluoroallylation of α‐Amino Acids

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
An efficient, photocatalytic method for the decarboxylative 3‐fluoroallylation of α‐amino acids has been developed to produce fluorinated homoallylamines. A broad reaction scope is reported, including the use of dipeptides and different protecting groups on nitrogen.

Metal‐Free HFIP‐Promoted Synthesis of Benzhydryl Derivatives from Stilbenes as Masked Electrophiles under Oxidative Conditions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
An umpolung strategy allowing the use of stilbenes as electrophiles in substitution reactions is developed that relies on a combination of m‐chloroperbenzoic acid and hexafluoroisopropanol. This new step‐economic approach gives rise to benzhydryl derivatives by the use of different nitrogenated, oxygenated, and sulfur‐ and carbon‐based nucleophiles ...

Epigenotoxicity: Decoding the epigenetic imprints of genotoxic agents and their implications for regulatory genetic toxicology

open access: yesEnvironmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, EarlyView.
Abstract Regulatory genetic toxicology focuses on DNA damage and subsequent gene mutations. However, genotoxic agents can also affect epigenetic marks, and incorporation of epigenetic data into the regulatory framework may thus enhance the accuracy of risk assessment.

Sustainable Solid Polymer Electrolytes Based on NaCMC‐PVA Blends for Energy Storage Applications: Electrical and Electrochemical Insights with Application to Electric Double‐Layer Capacitors

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
A novel biopolymer electrolyte using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose/polyvinyl alcohol and NaPF6 enhances ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability for electric double‐layer capacitors. Conductivity peaks at 35 wt% salt before declining due to ion clustering. Structural and electrochemical analyses confirm promising device performance.
