This study aimed to clarify whether novel cotton-like composite made of β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) and poly(Dl-lactide-co-glycolide) (PDLGA) has a different effect on in vivo bone regeneration after bone defect than that of granular β-TCP.

Polarization characteristics of defect mode peaks in a one-dimensional (1D) photonic crystal (PC) with a nematic liquid crystal (NLC) defect layer have been investigated. Two different polarized defect modes are observed in a stop band.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

A comparative radiological study of experimental bone and soft tissue defect healing treated with great omentum in dogs [PDF]
Experimental bone defect was created at med shift of femoral bone of twelve adult stray dogs from both sexes. Operative animals were divided into two equal groups each group have 6 animals, in first group the defect induced at med shift of femoral bone ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

Translophagy—A potential link between autophagy impairment and translational errors
Neurodegenerative diseases are characterised by the accumulation of abnormal proteins and protein aggregates, but their origin often remains unknown. We propose that selective autophagy removes damaged protein‐making machinery, preventing errors during protein synthesis.

Defect groups are sylow intersections
Proof. By hypothesis, we can choose veV-{0} such that v x = v for all x in H. Since V o c V and V is irreducible, there is y in G such that vyCVo. Suppose x E H n y l H y . Then x = y l h y for some h in H. Hence v y x = vy (y -1 hy)= vhy = vy is fixed by x. By our hypothesis, x = 1.
