Identifying global anatomical differences: Deformation-based morphometry [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to illustrate a method for identifying macroscopic anatomical differences among the brains of different populations of subjects. The method involves spatially normalizing the structural MR images of a number of subjects so that they all conform to the same stereotactic space.

Deformation-Based Morphometry Reveals Brain Atrophy in Frontotemporal Dementia [PDF]
To compare deformation-based maps of local anatomical size between subjects with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and healthy subjects to identify regions of the brain involved in FTD.Structural magnetic resonance images were obtained from 22 subjects with FTD and 22 cognitively normal, age-matched controls.

Comprehensive Analysis of Brain Volume in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder with Mild Cognitive Impairment
Background: Rapid-eye-movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is a major risk factor for Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies. More than a third of RBD patients have mild cognitive impairment (MCI), but their specific structural brain ...

Brain morphometry on congenital hand deformities based on Teichmüller space theory [PDF]
Congenital Hand Deformities (CHD) are usually occurred between fourth and eighth week after the embryo is formed. Failure of the transformation from arm bud cells to upper limb can lead to an abnormal appearing/functioning upper extremity which is presented at birth.

Influence of APOE Genotype on Hippocampal Atrophy over Time - An N=1925 Surface-Based ADNI Study. [PDF]
The apolipoprotein E (APOE) e4 genotype is a powerful risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's disease (AD). In the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) cohort, we previously reported significant baseline structural differences in APOE e4 ...

Interrater reliability of quantitative ultrasound using force feedback among examiners with varied levels of experience [PDF]
Background. Quantitative ultrasound measures are influenced by multiple external factors including examiner scanning force. Force feedback may foster the acquisition of reliable morphometry measures under a variety of scanning conditions.
