Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Low-Denaturazing Glucose Oxidase Immobilization onto Graphite Electrodes by Incubation in Chitosan Solutions

open access: yesPolysaccharides, 2022
In this work, glucose oxidase (GOx) has been immobilized onto graphite rod electrodes through an assisted-chitosan adsorption reaching an enzyme coverage of 4 nmol/cm2.

Topological and geometrical entanglement in a model of circular DNA undergoing denaturation

open access: yes, 2002
The linking number (topological entanglement) and the writhe (geometrical entanglement) of a model of circular double stranded DNA undergoing a thermal denaturation transition are investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. By allowing the linking number to

A possible mechanism for cold denaturation of proteins at high pressure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We study cold denaturation of proteins at high pressures. Using multicanonical Monte Carlo simulations of a model protein in a water bath, we investigate the effect of water density fluctuations on protein stability. We find that above the pressure where

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Development of a DNA Sensor Based on Alkanethiol Self- Assembled Monolayer-Modified Electrodes

open access: yesSensors, 2005
An electrochemical DNA biosensor based on recognition of double or singlestranded DNA (ds-DNA/ss-DNA) immobilised on a self-assembled modified gold electrodeis presented for denaturalisation and hybridisation detection.

Unravelling the Influence of Composition and Heat Treatment on Key Characteristics of Dairy Protein Powders Using a Multifactorial Approach

open access: yesFoods, 2023
The purpose of this study was to improve understanding of the structural and functional property changes that milk-protein concentrates undergo during production, particularly how the manufacturing route (heat treatment position and intensity ...

Path Integral Method for DNA Denaturation

open access: yes, 2009
The statistical physics of homogeneous DNA is investigated by the imaginary time path integral formalism. The base pair stretchings are described by an ensemble of paths selected through a macroscopic constraint, the fulfillement of the second law of ...

The N-Terminus of Apolipoprotein A-V Adopts a Helix-Bundle Molecular Architecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Previous studies of recombinant full-length human apolipoprotein A-V (apoA-V) provided evidence of the presence of two independently folded structural domains.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...
