Coupled exciton model with off-diagonal disorder for optical excitations in extended dendrimers [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 1 (1999) 1687-1689, 1998
A phenomenological coupled exciton model is proposed in order to characterize optical excitations in extended dendrimers. An onsite exciton state is assigned at each phenyl rings and a nearest neighbor hopping integral which obeys the Gaussian distribution is considered between the exciton states.

New method of identifying morphine in urine samples using nanoparticle-dendrimer-enzyme hybrid system

open access: yesArabian Journal of Chemistry, 2022
The incorporation of morphine (MOR) into the nanoparticle structure is a viable alternative to traditional enzyme usage. It has good biological potential to separate MOR from real urine samples.

Pharmacokinetics of Chiral Dendrimer-Triamine-Coordinated Gd-MRI Contrast Agents Evaluated by in Vivo MRI and Estimated by in Vitro QCM

open access: yesSensors, 2015
Recently, we developed novel chiral dendrimer-triamine-coordinated Gd-MRI contrast agents (Gd-MRI CAs), which showed longitudinal relaxivity (r1) values about four times higher than that of clinically used Gd-DTPA (Magnevist®, Bayer).

Charge-induced conformational changes of dendrimers [PDF]

open access: yesMacromolecules 41, 4452 - 4458 (2008), 2008
We study the effect of chargeable monomers on the conformation of dendrimers of low generation by computer simulations, employing bare Coulomb interactions. The presence of the latter leads to an increase in size of the dendrimer due to a combined effect of electrostatic repulsion and the presence of counterions within the dendrimer, and also enhances ...

Extracellular Matrix Targeted MRI Probes

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 3, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Gadolinium based MRI probes targeted to ECM components, either proteins or enzymes, hold promise for accurate molecular characterization and staging of fibrotic diseases in vivo. Non‐covalent binding probes (1), reactive probes (2), and enzyme‐responsive probes (3) are discussed.

Anomalous behavior of trapping in extended dendrimers with a perfect trap [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics 143, 064901 (2015), 2015
Compact and extended dendrimers are two important classes of dendritic polymers. The impact of the underlying structure of compact dendrimers on dynamical processes has been much studied, yet the relation between the dynamical and structural properties of extended dendrimers remains not well understood.
