Ultrastructure of Three Types of Epidermal Dendritic Cells in Hairless Mice* [PDF]
Electronmicroscopic studies of epidermal dendritic cells in hairless mice were carried out in normal and pigmented dorsal skin, the latter induced by topical application of DMBA.

This study reports for the first time the mechanical properties of brazed joints featuring Additively manufactured parts, such parts will likely need to be joined or combined with other components, and brazing offers a way of doing this for complex shapes without distortion. A new shear test methodology developed for such joints is also described.

Dendritic web-type solar cell mini-modules [PDF]
Twenty-five minimodules composed of dendritic web solar cells with nominal glass size of 12 by 40 cm were provided for study. The modules were identical with respect to design, materials, and manufacturing and assembly processes to full scale modules ...

The role of Microenvironment in tumorigenesis. Focus on dendritic cells in human papillomavirus E6, E7-transformed keratinocytes [PDF]
The inception of tumor microenvironment (TME), a complex and dynamic system constituted by different types of cells engaged by tumor and extracellular matrix surrounding cancer cells, is a way for them to elude the immune surveillance.

Residual Stress States in Microstructurally Graded PBF–LB/M Austenitic Steel Components
This study examines microstructurally graded 316L rectangular tube profiles fabricated via PBF–LB/M using a dual‐laser system. A 1 kW top‐hat and a 400 W Gaussian laser create distinct grain sizes and crystallographic texture. Mechanical properties are linked to microstructural evolution driven by processing conditions.

Subsets of migrating intestinal dendritic cells [PDF]
Dendritic cells (DCs) in the intestine are heterogeneous. Phenotypically different populations of conventional DCs have been identified in the intestinal lamina propria, Peyer's patches, and in the draining mesenteric lymph nodes, to which these DCs ...

Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...
