Dense medium separation : A dynamic model and medium loss analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Dissertation (MEng(Electronic Engineering))--University of Pretoria, 2017.In this study, a model of a dense medium separation circuit of an iron ore plant in South Africa is developed, focusing on the flow of medium in the circuit. The model is validated

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Design of Medium Density Control System in Dense-medium Separation Based on Fuzzy Control

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2012
In view of problem of bad control effect because of manual control for medium density control in dense-medium separation in one coal preparation plant, medium density control system based on fuzzy control was designed.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Some causes of medium loss in dense medium plants.

open access: yes, 1995
Medium consumption is a significant component of the cost of operating a dense medium plant. This study aimed to identify and quantify many of the factors contributing to overall consumption, through extensive surveys of four widely differing dense ...

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

A dual-loop control system for dense medium coal washing processes with sampled and delayed measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A dual closed-loop control system is developed for a dense medium coal washing process. The controller is designed to improve the separation efficiency and energy efficiency of the dense medium cyclone coal beneficiation process simultaneously making use

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Selecting the best distribution for modeling trends in low, medium, and extreme daily precipitation under climate change [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Statistical Climatology, Meteorology and Oceanography
Changes in mean precipitation and the frequency and intensity of extreme precipitation represent one of the most consequential aspects of anthropogenic climate change. This study evaluates a set of statistical distributions for modeling trends across the
