A Continuous Spectrophotometric Assay for Thymidine and Deoxycytidine Kinases
Analytical Biochemistry, 1998We have developed a continuous spectrophotometric assay for thymidine and deoxycytidine kinase activities by coupling nucleoside 5'-monophosphate formation to a methylation reaction which generates a product absorbing at 340 nm. With thymidine kinase, we used the alternate substrate deoxyuridine and coupled the reaction to thymidylate synthase.

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2009A series of potent piperidine-linked cytosine derivatives were prepared as inhibitors of deoxycytidine kinase (dCK). Compound 9h was discovered to be a potent inhibitor of dCK and shows a good combination of cellular potency and pharmacokinetic parameters.

Activation of Deoxycytidine Kinase by Various Nucleoside Analogues
1998The effect of different nucleoside analogues on deoxycytidine kinase (dCK) and thymidine kinase (TK) was compared in normal human lymphocytes and various leukemic cell lines. G-phase enriched tonsilar lymphocyte subpopulation treated by CdA showed more profound stimulation of dCK activity than S-phase cells.
