Enhanced Switching Performance in Single‐Crystalline PbTiO3 Ferroelectric Memristors for Replicating Synaptic Plasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrated single‐crystalline PbTiO3‐based memristors with atomically sharp interfaces, well‐ordered lattices, and minimal lattice mismatch. The devices exhibited an ON/OFF ratio exceeding 105, high stability, and rich resistance‐state modulation.

Depolarization channels with zero-bandwidth noises

open access: yes, 2004
A simple model describing depolarization channels with zero-bandwidth environment is presented and exactly solved. The environment is modelled by Lorentzian, telegraphic and Gaussian zero-bandwidth noises.

Self‐Assembled Heterosymmetric Structure with Tunable Polarization Optics for Reversible Matrix Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sustainable films with heterosymmetric structures, harmoniously integrating symmetry and asymmetry, are fabricated using cellulose nanocrystals and hydrophilic nanolignin via evaporation‐induced self‐assembly, which exhibit excellent multiple polarization optical properties.

Simple quantum model for light depolarization

open access: yes, 2005
Depolarization of quantum fields is handled through a master equation of the Lindblad type. The specific feature of the proposed model is that it couples dispersively the field modes to a randomly distributed atomic reservoir, much in the classical ...

On the SERS depolarization ratio

open access: yesNanospectroscopy, 2015
AbstractThe Raman depolarization ratio is a quantity that can be easily measured experimentally and offers unique information on the Raman polarizability tensor of molecular vibrations. In Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS), molecules are near-field coupled with optical nanoantennas and their scattering properties are strongly affected by the ...

Towards High‐Acuity Vision Restoration: Hybrid Retinal Prosthesis Composed of a High‐Density Multielectrode Array Integrated With Glutamatergic Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel Hybrid Retinal Implant (HRI), composed of a high‐density electrode array integrated with glutamatergic neurons to overcome key limitations of current retinal prostheses. The significant reduction of activation threshold and of electrode cross‐talk yields in an improved spatial resolution.

Dynamic Control of Synaptic Plasticity by Competing Ferroelectric and Trap‐Assisted Switching in IGZO Transistors with Al2O3/HfO2 Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A frequency‐tunable ferroelectric synaptic transistor based on a buried‐gate InGaZnO channel and Al2O3/HfO2 dielectric stack exhibits linear and reversible weight updates using single‐polarity pulses. By switching between ferroelectric and trap‐assisted modes depending on input frequency, the device simplifies neuromorphic circuit design and achieves ...

New insights into electron spin dynamics in the presence of correlated noise

open access: yes, 2011
The changes of the spin depolarization length in zinc-blende semiconductors when an external component of correlated noise is added to a static driving electric field are analyzed for different values of field strength, noise amplitude and correlation ...
