The intensity of IUGR-induced transcriptome deregulations is inversely correlated with the onset of organ function in a rat model

open access: yes, 2011
A low-protein diet applied during pregnancy in the rat results in intrauterine growth restricted (IUGR) fetuses. In humans, IUGR is associated with increased perinatal morbidity, higher incidence of neuro-developmental defects and increased risk of adult

Non‐Nutritive Artificial Sweeteners Aspartame and Acesulfame‐K Ameliorate Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease in Male Ldlr−/− Mice

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aspartame and acesulfame‐K are commonly used non‐nutritive artificial sweeteners, but their impacts on cardiovascular disease and metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease (MASLD) are unclear. Effects of testosterone and high‐dose anabolic steroids on orthodontic‐induced bone remodeling and root resorption: An animal study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This study investigates the impact of disruptions in testosterone levels on bone remodeling, root resorption, and periodontal ligament (PDL) during orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) in a pubertal male rat model. Methods Testosterone deficiency was induced through orchiectomy, and the anabolic‐androgenic steroid (AAS, testosterone ...

Failure in Motion: A Framework for Capability Erosion and Institutional Dysfunction

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drawing on the literature on capability erosion and institutional dysfunction (ID), this study develops a conceptual framework that sheds new light on how the interaction between capability erosion and ID creates conditions for business failure across borders. By articulating two dimensions of heterogeneous capability and resource erosion (i.e.
