Folding, misfolding, and regulation of intracellular traffic of G protein‐coupled receptors involved in the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 978-991, May 2026.
Abstract Background G protein‐coupled receptors are a large and functionally diverse family of membrane receptors involved in a number of biological processes. Like other proteins, G protein‐coupled receptors need to be properly folded in order to traffic to the plasma membrane and interact with agonist.

Biologics in IgE-mediated food allergy: A systematic review and meta-analysis of interventional studies

open access: yesWorld Allergy Organization Journal
Background and aims: IgE-mediated food allergy (FA) is a major healthcare problem, affecting millions of children and adults worldwide. FA management usually involves elimination diets; however, there is increasing interest in alternative strategies that

Profiling of HCAR1 signalling reveals Gαi/o and Gαs activation without β‐arrestin recruitment and the discovery of an allosteric agonist

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 10, Page 2219-2235, May 2026.
Abstract Background and Purpose Lactate, historically viewed as a metabolic by‐product, has emerged as a signalling molecule via the G protein–coupled receptor Hydroxycarboxylic Acid Receptor 1 (HCAR1). The receptor is primarily expressed in adipocytes but also found in various other tissues.

Mixed Signals: T Cells as Architects of IgE Immunity

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 339, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Food allergen‐specific IgE can cause significant pathology, yet the pathways that generate pathogenic, high‐affinity IgE remain incompletely understood. Increasing evidence suggests that IgE responses arise from the integration of multiple, and sometimes opposing, T cell–derived cues.

Association of donor-specific antibodies with adverse outcomes in solid organ transplantation: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 69 studies

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
ImportancePreformed donor-specific antibodies (pre-DSAs) are a significant immunologic barrier in solid organ transplantation (SOT), yet their association with post-transplant outcomes lacks consensus, limiting standardized clinical management ...

[Oral rush desensitization for cow milk allergy: Clinical and immunological follow-up].

open access: yesAnales de pediatria (Barcelona, Spain : 2003), 2015
The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral rush desensitization in children with cow milk allergy.Prospective study. We included IgE-mediated cow milk allergy children over 3 years in 3 Spanish hospitals. Increasing doses of cow milk for 5 days from 1 cc of 1% to 200 cc of pure milk were administered.

The Development of Hypersensitivity Reactions in the Pediatric Population: A Review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Over the past several years, pediatric allergies have come to the forefront of many studies. Reports of immune-mediated hypersensitivity in younger patients have grown and led to an interest researching the causes of pediatric hypersensitivities.
