Adverse Reactions Identified after Approval of Novel Medicines: Analysis of 339 New Molecular Entities and Therapeutic Biologics

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Postmarketing safety surveillance data identify safety issues not identified in preapproval clinical trials. We describe the frequency of new safety issues overall and by labeling section and the relationship of the most commonly added safety issues with the cumulative number of prescriptions dispensed via retail pharmacies.

Two-year follow-up after drug desensitization in mucopolysaccharidosis

open access: yesOrphanet Journal of Rare Diseases
Background Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) type 1 S and type 2 are rare lysosomal storage disorders characterized by impaired enzyme production, resulting in glycosaminoglycans accumulation within lysosomes.

Use of HLA desensitization in the management of renal transplant recipients in Europe

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
A significant challenge in kidney transplantation is overcoming immunological barriers such as human leukocyte antigen (HLA) incompatibilities. The presence of anti-HLA antibodies in the transplant candidate is referred to as HLA sensitization.

Greenwashing in the Spotlight: Synthesising Evidence on Unethical Environmental Claims and Future Pathways

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Firms are experiencing mounting pressure to report their environmental impact. Rather than disclosing their actual performance, however, some are engaging in unethical business (i.e., greenwashing) practices. Prior studies have contributed significantly to the greenwashing literature from varied perspectives, but a comprehensive understanding ...

TRAF6-mediated ubiquitination of AKT in the nucleus is a critical event underlying the desensitization of G protein-coupled receptors

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling
Background Desensitization of G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) refers to the attenuation of receptor responsiveness by prolonged or intermittent exposure to agonists.

Psychological Treatment for Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To produce a consensus statement on the psychological treatment of feeding/eating aversions seen in pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), diagnoses that share common symptoms and psychological mechanisms but have historically been addressed separately in the literature. Method To help

Commonalities of platelet dysfunction in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and underlying comorbidities

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1013-1028, April 2025.
Abstract Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is characterized by a lack of a specific targeted treatment and a complex, partially unexplored pathophysiology. Common comorbidities associated with HFpEF are hypertension, atrial fibrillation, obesity and diabetes.

Effects of anti-HLA donor-specific antibodies and desensitization on engraftment of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

open access: yes陆军军医大学学报
Objective To investigate the effects of anti-HLA donor-specific antibodies (DSA) and desensitization for DSA+patients on engraftment of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (haplo-HSCT). Methods The patients who underwent haplo-HSCT and

A valve-like mechanism controls desensitization of functional mammalian isoforms of acid-sensing ion channels

open access: yeseLife, 2019
ASICs are proton-gated sodium channels expressed in neurons. Structures of chicken ASIC1 in three conformations have advanced understanding of proton-mediated gating; however, a molecular mechanism describing desensitization from open and pre-open states
