Nuclear Factor I‐B Delays Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting Chemokine Ligand 5 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the transcription factor Nuclear Factor I‐B (NFIB) as a key suppressor of liver fibrosis. NFIB expression declines during hepatic stellate cell activation, and its overexpression reduces fibrosis in mice models. The mechanism involves NFIB directly repressing chemokine C─C motif ligand 5 (CCL5), thereby alleviating oxidative ...

Aplikasi eye moving desensitization dan reprocessing dalam konseling post-traumatic stress disorder

open access: yesTeraputik: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling, 2020
Recently more events can appear traumatic effect even if it not treated, it will be post-traumatic stress disorder. Therefore, need the efforts to treat this problem. One of the way is using eye moving desensitization and reprocessing.

Promoting Autophagy Mitigates Stress‐Induced Remodeling in Patient iPSC‐CMs with the Phospholamban R9C Mutation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Phospholamban (PLN) R9C mutation reduces SERCA2a binding, increasing calcium recycling and baseline contractility. However, the excess of free PLN promotes pentamer formation, limiting phosphorylation and blunting β‐adrenergic signaling. Under cardiac stress, enhanced functional demands overwhelm proteostasis in PLN R9C cells, leading to misfolded ...

Characterising the mechanism of airway smooth muscle β2 adrenoceptor desensitization by rhinovirus infected bronchial epithelial cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Rhinovirus (RV) infections account for approximately two thirds of all virus-induced asthma exacerbations and often result in an impaired response to β2 agonist therapy.

Direct binding of phosphatidylglycerol at specific sites modulates desensitization of a ligand-gated ion channel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Pentameric ligand-gated ion channels (pLGICs) are essential determinants of synaptic transmission, and are modulated by specific lipids including anionic phospholipids.

FSTL1 Orchestrates Metabolic‐Epigenetic Crosstalk: Glycolysis‐Dependent H3K18 Lactylation Drives Cartilage Fibrosis in Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FSTL1 promotes glycolysis during chondrocyte fibrosis by triggering the HIF‐1 signaling pathway, which causes lactate to accumulate. The buildup of lactate leads to changes in histone lysine lactylation, which in turn enhances the expression of genes associated with fibrosis.

Nanoparticle Adjuvant Design Enhances Germinal Center Responses Targeting Conserved Subdominant Epitopes for Pan‐Coronavirus Vaccine Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccines generate short‐lived, strain‐specific immunity. A polymeric TLR7 agonist nanoparticle (TLR7‐NP) adjuvant enhances lymph node targeting and promotes early and sustained germinal center responses toward conserved S2 epitopes of the spike protein.

Failure of a single day metronidazole desensitization protocol, and success of a modified two-day protocol in an outpatient setting

open access: yesAllergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology, 2021
Background True allergy to metronidazole, a common anti-infective in clinical practice, is rarely reported in the literature. In the case of Trichomonas, there are few alternatives to the nitrimidazole class of drugs, and the alternatives that do exist ...
