The role of aspirin desensitization in patients with aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD)

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology
INTRODUCTION: Aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD) consists of a classic tetrad: moderate/severe asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, and intolerance to aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Advances in GPCRs Associated With Wnt Signaling Within the Auditory System

open access: yesMedicine Bulletin, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) that interact with the Wnt signaling pathway are pivotal for auditory system homeostasis, as they orchestrate inner ear development, hair cell (HC) regeneration, and hearing preservation. Frizzled (FZD) receptors, the core Wnt‐related GPCRs, bind Wnt ligands and co‐receptors (e.g., LRP5/6) to activate both ...

“What Medical Management Should Be First Line for Bladder Storage Symptoms in NLUTD”—Pro Botox

open access: yesNeurourology and Urodynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) severely impairs patient quality of life (QoL). While oral medications are often first‐line treatments, their high failure rates and side effects limit their effectiveness. Thus, we argue for the use of intravesical botulinum toxin A (BoNT‐A) injections as a first‐line alternative ...

Analysis of Trajectories of Anxiety Behaviors During Induction of Anesthesia in Children With Multiple Encounters: A Secondary Analysis of a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesPediatric Anesthesia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Preoperative anxiety is a significant stressor for children and is associated with negative postoperative outcomes. Although the incidence of difficult inductions during a single anesthetic encounter is well documented, the longitudinal trajectory of anxiety behaviors in children undergoing repeated anesthesia remains poorly ...

Examining the multi‐disciplinary origins of biophobia towards threatening and non‐threatening wildlife in a highly urbanised city in China

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Urbanisation is reshaping how people experience wildlife, reducing our shared spaces with local biodiversity. Fewer opportunities for human–wildlife interactions weaken our emotional attachments to nature and precipitate a loss of species knowledge and familiarity.

Structural characterization and optimum machining parameters of jute/carbon fibre hybrid reinforced epoxy composite laminates

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
Hybrid jute/carbon epoxy laminates have better mechanical performance and less drilling damage by the use of optimized stacking sequence and machining parameters. Abstract Three composite laminate systems were produced using the standard hand lay‐up method: jute‐fibre‐reinforced polymer (JFRP), carbon‐fibre‐reinforced polymer (CFRP) and a hybrid of the

Molecular and genomic advances in breast cancer: A comprehensive review of predictive and therapeutic innovations

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
Breast cancer subtypes, estrogen receptor‐positive (ER+), HER2‐enriched, and TNBC, are defined by genomic and epigenetic signatures. Multi‐omics profiling, immunotherapy, liquid biopsy, and AI‐driven radiogenomics enable precision medicine. Tools like Oncotype DX and PAM50 support personalized care.

Disease Progression Mathematical Modeling With a Case Study on Hepatitis B Virus Infection

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 420-434, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Chronic Hepatitis B presents a significant health and socioeconomic burden. The risk of hepatocellular carcinoma remains elevated although treatments are available. Achieving an optimal treatment regimen necessitates a deep comprehension of the dynamic relationship between the virus and its host across disease states.

In Vitro Reconstruction of Axonal Heat Sensing with a Photothermal Nerve‐on‐a‐Chip

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A photothermal nerve‐on‐a‐chip platform is presented that enables precise, localized heating of sensory axons with simultaneous electrical recording. The system reveals millisecond‐scale dynamics of heat‐evoked neural activity and provides a new approach to study how temperature‐dependent ion channel behavior is translated into axonal firing.
