Multiphase printable organohydrogels with tunable microstructures are developed to control molecular transport pathways for immiscible cargo. The tortuosity and domain size of the colloidal phases are tuned by adjusting temperature and shear during processing, which enables the tailoring of diffusion kinetics due to different transport pathways.

Very small cellular compartments can break electroneutrality and harness proton gradients without active transport structures, whereas larger volumes cannot, underscoring why life's critical energy processes are confined in microscopic spaces. ABSTRACT The effect of pH changes in external ionic solutions on liposomes entrapping non‐permeable weak acid ...

A framework of project-based learning (PBL) pedagogy for graphic design education
Design programmes commonly employ project-based learning (PBL) in studio settings, emphasising hands-on learning through real-world projects. However, there are multiple practices in the name of PBL.

Phase Diagrams Enable Solid‐State Battery Design
Batteries are non‐equilibrium devices with inherent thermodynamic driving forces to react at interfaces, regardless of kinetics or operating conditions. Chemical potential mismatches across interfaces are dissipated via interfacial reactions. In this work, it is illustrated how phase diagrams and chemical potential maps predict degradation pathways but

Creating Space: Building Digital Games [PDF]
Studies of games, rhetoric, and pedagogy are increasingly common in our field, and indeed seem to grow each year. Nonetheless, composing and designing digital games, either as a mode of scholarship or as a classroom assignment, has not seen an equal ...

A soft robotic simulator is developed to replicate the digital removal of feces (DRF), a sensitive yet essential nursing procedure. Integrating soft actuators, sensors, and a realistic rectal model, the simulator balances functional fidelity with perceptual realism. Engineering evaluations and nurse feedback confirm its potential to enhance training in
